Flow automation

The flow editor is a powerful part of multishock that lets you create custom automations by connecting triggers and actions in a visual interface.

Plugins can also add new triggers and actions, allowing you to extend the capabilities of your flows with custom logic and integrations!

Core node categories

Start with how nodes work to learn how to read a node and what the pin colors mean.

Common patterns

  • Run a sequence of actions with delays
  • React to device status changes
  • Coordinate multiple devices from a single trigger

Follow your first flow for a complete built-in example, then use the editor guide for canvas controls and flow execution for variables, overlapping events, queues, and concurrency.

Enable a flow

After creating a flow, save it and click Run in the flow editor's toolbar, or the play button next to it in the flow list. Flows only react to their triggers while they're running, and running flows start again the next time MultiShock opens. See the flow editor guide.

Flow storage

Flows are stored locally at:

  • %LocalAppData%\PiShock\MultiShock\flows\

Configuration exports do not include flow files. See files and backups before moving or restoring a flow library.
